Not being satisfied with low effort people who don’t care about you is the bare minimum standard. And it’s vastly better to be alone than with someone incapable of or uninterested in meeting your needs. Perfection is a strawman.

“High standards” my ass. Everyone should avoid relationships characterised by lukewarm-cold-lukewarm treatment like the plague, and find one of the many, many people interesting in a loving and supportive relationship.

Yes, good relationships are about mutual support, if only one side is giving anything substantial, it’s hardly a relationship. Nowhere did the author imply she wasn’t doing her bit.
